In commemoration of the 60 years of Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region, a coffee table book entitled “What is Great about Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region” was launched during the meeting together with the Diamond Jubilee Badge. The book and the badge was launched in Thailand on October 2016 during the Regional Leader Meet.

What make this badge a memorabilia?

TRIVIA:

In the same period when the Regional Leaders meet in Bangkok; the Beloved King and Chief Scout of National Scout Organization of Thailand also passed away

In the evening of 15 October 2016, Regional Committee members together with the participants of APR Communications Workshop – from the 18 countries of Asia Pacific Region – paid homage to His Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej, the King of Royal Kingdom of Thailand and Chief Scout, who passed away. The entire group sent their messages of deepest condolences to the people of Thailand
